Agoric is an open-source software development company bringing better security and composability to the decentralized financial infrastructure of today. Our secure JavaScript smart contract platform allows developers to rapidly build secure applications on top of an ever-growing collection of reusable governance, lending, and trading components.

Through its asynchronous communication and multi-block execution, the Agoric chain is uniquely suited for developers to build decentralized applications that reach cross-chain to take advantage of liquidity and capabilities wherever they live. By orchestrating cross-chain capabilities, the Agoric smart contract layer aims to become the meta layer on which most decentralized applications are built. We’ve done the legwork to create a reliable, secure, and composable smart contract infrastructure, and are seeking a talented technical product manager to join us in leading the SDK product as we help build the economy of the future.

About the role

As a Technical Product Manager at Agoric, you will drive the execution of Agoric’s primary product: the Agoric SDK.

You will be the voice for the development of the SDK product, which is how developers interface with Agoric technology to build and deploy smart contracts. You will create and own a roadmap for the Agoric SDK product which aggressively prioritizes improving the developer experience to onboard builders to the Agoric platform. You’ll spend lots of time with developers soliciting feedback and improvements to the SDK. You’ll lead in the design and development of new core features into the Agoric SDK product – such as supporting fee markets – in combination with engineering, other product managers, and leadership.

What you will be doing

  • Specify new requirements for the SDK and drive their completion against clear execution schedules
  • Lead SDK release efforts across Agoric internal engineering with collaboration with external stakeholders and chain operators
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and integrating feedback from the development community into the SDK roadmap
  • Establish & track SDK adoption & product success metrics
  • Act as a primary user of the product to stay grounded in the developer experience
  • Making tough prioritization decisions and drive agreement with engineering
  • Working cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, developer relations, and the Agoric executive team
  • Effectively communicate with the Agoric community through Discord, Telegram, Slack, and live conferences

What we look for in you

  • You have a background in software engineering, preferably with considerable JavaScript experience, which gives you insight into design tradeoffs
  • Personal or professional crypto/web3 experience – you are familiar with common crypto use cases like token launches
  • 2+ years experience in a Software Development role
  • 5+ years experience in Product Management, preferably with an SDK product
  • Experience managing a platform product with developer customers
  • Demonstrated grasp of issues across technical and strategic levels
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • New product launch and product life cycle management experience
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with engineering, business development, and marketing

Nice to haves

  • Have previous experience at a fast-paced, high-growth stage internet/software company

Minimum requirements

  • Work authorization in the U.S. or Canada
  • Undergraduate degree
